Bath based animator Petra Freeman and filmmaker Tim Rolt have collaborated with 50 children and staff from St. Saviours Junior School to make an interactive animated version of this traditional pencil and paper game. They have also created two short films that blend live action and animation. The important message is a lively take on presenting words. Let the Games commence explores some unusual and imaginative new games.
Petra Freeman is an artist and animator and is best known for her painting on glass animated film. Her recent film, Tad’s Nest, was screened at Tate Modern in 2010. Petra and her partner, Tim Rolt, have made several award winning films collaborating with children and funded by First Light Movies.
